Dennis Gage

With his trademark handlebar mustache, infectious enthusiasm, and encyclopedic knowledge of all things automotive, Dennis Gage has become one of the most beloved personalities in the classic car world. As the creator and host of the long-running television series My Classic Car, Gage has spent over two decades bringing the stories of vintage vehicles, their owners, and the culture that surrounds them into living rooms across America and beyond.

Dennis holds a Ph.D. in chemistry and began his career in the corporate world before merging his love for science with his lifelong passion for automobiles. What began as a hobby quickly evolved into a celebrated television career, launching My Classic Car in 1997. The show has since become a staple for car enthusiasts, airing on multiple networks and amassing a loyal global audience.

Known for his down-to-earth personality and genuine curiosity, Gage has interviewed thousands of collectors, builders, and restorers, capturing the heart of the classic car community. His travels have taken him to events all over the world, from local cruise-ins to the most prestigious concours.

More than a television host, Dennis Gage is an ambassador for the hobby—preserving the stories behind the steel and chrome, and inspiring new generations to appreciate the artistry, history, and joy of classic motoring.

We are thrilled to welcome Dennis Gage to the Hilton Head Island Concours d’Elegance & Motoring Festival, where passion for the automobile takes center stage.
