Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival & Concours d’Elegance Named One of Top 20 Events in Southeast

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC– The Hilton Head Motoring Festival & Concours d’Elegance announced that it has been selected as one of the Top 20 Events in the Southeast for fall 2011.

The best events across the southeast compete to receive the prestigious Top 20 Events designation. Through a nomination process, Southeast Tourism Society chooses the Top 20 events in the Southeast for each month of the year and publishes this list of winners quarterly.

Carolyn Vanagel, President for the Motoring Festival, said “we feel very privileged to receive such an esteemed acknowledgment. Our event helps Hilton Head’s recognition as being something even more than a great beach and golf vacation destination. Our event has opened the Hilton Head and Savannah area to a broader array of visitors who we knew would want to come back at other times of the year to experience more of the area and its attractions.”

The list of Top 20 winners receive extensive exposure including publication in over 1,600 newspapers, magazines, radio stations and TV stations plus AAA publications among others. The combined circulation runs into the millions. To be eligible, an event must be at least in its third year of existence, and have a minimum attendance of 1,000.
