Savannah/Hilton Head Speed Classic
The Savannah/Hilton Head Speed Classic, hosted at the recently reopened road course on Hutchinson Island, adjacent from historic River Street in downtown Savannah, GA and the site of the only Indy Lights Series Dixie Crystals Grand Prix in 1997 won by Helio Castroneves, opened the festivities for the 2009 Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance & Motoring Festival.
The two-day vintage track event, managed by HSR, Historic Sportscar Racing, Ltd., featured vintage races as well as touring laps in your own car around the track and the ever-popular hot lap rides which get you in the latest sports car makes and models as a passenger moving at racing speeds.
