Operation Ignite! Youth Judging

For the second year at the Hilton Head Island Motoring Festival & Concours d'Elegance, Hagerty Insurance will offer the Operation Ignite! Youth Judging Program. 

With Hagerty’s commitment to furthering the collector vehicle hobby, they have designed this special program to offer area youth the opportunity to learn first hand about these world class automobiles.   Participating youth will be taught the basics of judging collector cars, meet with select exhibitors at Saturday’s Car Club Jamboree and conduct their own judging of a group of cars based on an established set of criteria. 

Hargray Communications, a leading community citizen and Motoring Festival Partner, will help Hagerty conduct the program on site.  The participants will have a pre-meeting at the Hargray Pavilion, conduct the judging program, tabulate the results and then have the opportunity to participate in the presentation of the awards.  A group photo will be taken and each participant will receive special materials provided by the sponsors.   

Kids participating must between 6 – 18 years old and be available to spend the day at the Motoring Festival on Saturday, November 5.  To apply you must read the Participation Letter (click to download), and complete both the Participant Registration & Release Form (click to download). Complete both forms and send to Carolyn Vanagel's attention at the Hilton Head Island Concours d'Elegance, 1 Cardinal Road, Suite 17, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926 or fax to (843) 686-6802.  Participants will be selected on a first come first serve basis.    It will be an opportunity of a lifetime so spread the word!
