Driving Directions



To the Hilton Head Island Venue:
The Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn (70 Honey Horn Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29926)

From I-95:
1.  Take South Carolina Exit 8
2.  Go East on US-278 towards Hilton Head Island
3.  As crossing over the bridge on to the Island, stay towards the right
4.  Pass Squire Pope Rd. on your Left and Spanish Wells Rd. on your Right
5.  Soon after passing Squire Pope Rd. and Spanish Wells Rd., US-278 will split
6.  Take the exit to the right for Business 278 Wm Hilton Pkwy (do not take the Cross Island Parkway toll road)
7.  At the next light, Gum Tree Rd. will be to your Left and the Cross Island Parkway Toll Road will be to your Right, take a Right at that light onto the Cross Island Parkway
8.  Immediately after turning Right off of US-278, stay in the right lane
9.  Turn Right into the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn

To Free Off-Site Parking (at the Hilton Head Public School Complex):
1.  After crossing the bridge to Hilton Head Island on US-278 East, travel 3 additional miles on Business 278 to Gum Tree Rd (Do not take Cross Island Expressway).
2.  This will be the third traffic signal. Turn left on to Gum Tree Rd.
3.  Turn right on to School Rd. (The elementary school, Hilton Head IB, located on School Rd., will have available off-site parking)
4.  Turn left on to Wilborn Rd. (Hilton Head High School, Hilton Head Middle School and the School for the Creative Arts, located on Wilborn Rd., will have available off-site parking)

To Hutchinson Island (Savannah, GA) Race Venue:
The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort & Spa (2 Resort Drive, Savannah, GA 31421)

From Hilton Head Island, SC:
1.  Take US-278 West/William Hilton Parkway/Fording Island Road
2.  Turn LEFT on to Burnt Church Road
3.  Turn RIGHT on to Bruin Road
4.  Bruin Road becomes May River Road/SC-46
5.  Enter next roundabout and take 2nd exit onto SC-170
6.  Stay STRAIGHT to go onto SC-170 ALT
7.  Turn LEFT onto US-17 ALT (Crossing into Georgia)
8.  US-17 ALT becomes US-17/GA-25 ALT/Talmadge Memorial Bridge
9.  Take the ramp toward Hutchinson Island
10.  Turn LEFT onto Wayne Shackelford Blvd.

Parking is available in the infield of the track ($5/car).

From Downtown Savannah, GA:
1.  Take US-17 N/GA-25 ALT N
2.  Take the ramp towards Hutchinson Island
3.  Ramp will take you onto Wayne Shackelford Blvd.

Parking is available in the infield of the track ($5/car).

From I-95 North:
1.  Take I-95 N via EXIT 35B toward Savannah (Crossing into Georgia)
2.  Merge onto I-16 E/GA-404 E via EXIT 99A toward Savannah
3.  Merge onto US-17 N/GA-25 ALT N via EXIT 166 toward Louisville Rd./Charleston/Hutchinson Island
4.  Take the exit toward Hutchinson Island
5.  Ramp will take you onto Wayne Shackelford Blvd.

Parking is available in the infield of the track ($5/car).

From I-95 South:
1.  Take I-95 S
2.  Merge onto US-17 S via EXIT 5 toward Savannah
3.  Stay STRAIGHT to go onto US-17 ALT S (Crossing into Georgia)
4.  US-17 ALT S becomes US-17/GA-25 ALT/Talmadge Memorial Bridge
5.  Take the ramp towards Hutchinson Island
6.  Ramp will take you onto Wayne Shackelford Blvd.
Parking is available in the infield of the track ($5/car).

Two airports service the Hilton Head Island area: Hilton Head Airport, located approximately 5 miles (8 km) from all Island resorts, and Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport, located approximately 45 miles (72 km) south of the Island.
